Why golfer’s elbow develops
Golfer’s elbow develops gradually as the tendons that control your grip are loaded over and over again. The muscles that flex your wrist and fingers contract on every swing to stabilize your grip. Repeating that movement hundreds of times can overload the tendons where they attach at the inside of the elbow. Gripping the club too tightly or increasing practice volume too quickly can make symptoms worse.
