HiDow x Skydiving Over Sixty
What happens when recovery tech meets a skydiving crew breaking age barriers?

Skydiving Over Sixty is a new documentary (airing on PBS this May & June) following a group of skydivers in their 60s, 70s, and 80s as they chase a world record—and defy everything people expect about aging.

We partnered with the crew at Skydive Perris to support their recovery journey—and now we’re sharing their story as part of Senior Wellness Month. Because what if aging is just adapting—with more self-awareness, more intention, and a stronger connection to what really matters? Movement. Purpose. Community. That’s the story this team tells—with every jump.

How It Came Together

Sometimes you cross paths with people who get what you’re about, even if you’ve never met before. That’s how it was with the Skydiving Over Sixty crew at Skydive Perris.

“What started as a simple intro turned into something real: swapping stories about why we move, what keeps us coming back, and what it takes to keep going—at any age.”

It was clear pretty fast that there was more here than just skydiving or recovery tech. It was about community, stubborn optimism, and refusing to sit still.

As luck would have it, the team at Skydive Perris was deep in the middle of making a documentary around the same time we teamed up. We watched it here at HiDow—and honestly, it gave us chills.

Seeing these athletes—some in their 60s, 70s, even 80s—defy expectations and chase a world record with so much joy and grit was nothing short of inspiring.

That’s the spirit we want to celebrate and share—not just with the SOS crew, but with anyone who’s ever wondered what’s possible when you keep moving, keep connecting, and keep saying yes. The story isn’t about being fearless. It’s about showing up anyway. And we’re glad to be part of it.

Where to Watch
Skydiving Over Sixty

It’s not about the stunts. It’s about people in their 60s, 70s, and 80s showing up, doing something wild, and finding their crew.

You can catch the documentary on PBS stations across the country this May and June—or watch it online if you’re more of a “skip to the good parts” kind of person.
